Women of Color(WOC) Conference

Working at the Cultural Centers has given me the opportunity to create graphics for the 2018 Womxn of Color Conference. The purpose of the conference is to be a space for womxn of color to unite, explore intersections of our identities, and find solidarity in one another. This conference is intended to give space to Womxn of Color as we cultivate our voices and build upon our leadership skills.
THEME
This year, the Cultural Centers and the Womxn of Color Conference Committee hosted the 4th Annual Womxn of Color Conference at the University of San Francisco. The theme was "Rising Warrior: Our Ancestors, Selves and Future." There is no force more powerful than a conscious womxn determined to rise!
Concept
The concept of my design came from the womxn who have come before us in strength, wisdom and courage. The drawings showcase their victories and struggles, and commitment to building community through sharing knowledge and power.
